Event Highlights

  • Hidden Beneath Waves: A multi-media exploration of marine life behavior and communication (Friday evening, 10th October). This engaging event will delve into the fascinating world beneath the ocean’s surface, revealing the secrets of marine life.
  • Schools’ Art Exhibition: Underwater wonder-themed art exhibition at Kennaway House (10th – 19th October). Discover the artwork created by children who unleashed their creativity and explored the wonders of the underwater world through art.
  • Festival Talks: Fascinating talks on aging, cybersecurity, sports medicine, AI, and novel materials by science communicators (10th – 19th October). These talks will cover a wide range of topics, providing insights into how science impacts our daily lives.
  • Super Science Saturday Free Events: A free day for families with activities in motors, bubbles, light, geology, chemistry, physics, projectiles, and maths (11th October). This day is packed with exciting activities designed to engage and educate children and adults alike.
  • Science in the Pub: A sociable, light-hearted evening of leading-edge science at the Blue Ball Inn, Sidford (16th October). Enjoy a relaxed evening while learning about the latest scientific advancements.
  • Robot Workshop: Meet the robots and participate in workshops (18th October). This hands-on workshop will give participants the chance to interact with robots and learn about their capabilities.
  • Biodiversity Day: Learn about the importance of hedgerows for wildlife and the environment (18th October). Discover the vital role hedgerows play in supporting biodiversity and how we can protect them.
  • Norman Lockyer Observatory Family Day: Explore space, flight, and astronomy with telescopes, rockets, and more (19th October). This family-friendly event will provide a closer look at the wonders of the universe.
