Executive Team

Lindsay Lucas has been CEO of Exeter Science Park since 1 May 2026. She is responsible for leading ESPL through its next phase of development, strengthening its position as a leading hub for innovative STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine) enterprises, sustainable growth and regional economic impact. Her career has included starting up and building businesses, creating and implementing strategy, developing strategic partnerships, raising funds and leading organisational transformation.

Lindsay is a qualified engineer and University of Exeter alumna. She has more than 18 years’ senior leadership experience spanning start-ups, scale-ups and established technology and innovation-led organisations across sectors including software development, communications, financial services, retail, logistics and the VCSE sector. She also brings experience working within highly regulated environments, leading complex stakeholder relationships and governance frameworks. Lindsay is passionate about creating environments where science, technology and talent can thrive, strengthening the South West’s position as a nationally recognised centre for innovation, sustainability and high-value enterprise.

Rob oversees facilities management across the park, ensuring our buildings and services run efficiently. Working closely with the Head of Finance & Operations, he helps create the right spaces and support systems that enable our tenants to thrive. 

With a background in Higher Education and previous experience as a facilities manager at the University of Exeter, Rob has worked with a wide and diverse customer base. He is dedicated to providing high-quality environments for study and work, delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Annabelle works closely with our Head of Business Development, supporting the delivery of effective marketing campaigns, events, PR activity, and ongoing communications. Additionally working with our park business community in the development and delivery of relevant events and services that support their growth.

Annabelle’s background is brand communications, social media, and integrated digital campaigns. A University of Exeter graduate, she has developed her career creating thoughtful, insight‑led content that builds meaningful brand connections. Turning ideas into impactful stories that resonate with audiences.

Brett works closely with the Head of Operations, Matt Roach, to oversee financial operations, and support the company’s strategic financial direction.

Brett’s journey in accounting began as an accounts apprentice in an Exeter-based accountancy practice, providing him with a strong foundation and deep understanding of finance processes.

With a background in law and business management, both in the public and private sector including civil service and higher education, Anne has extensive experience in managing teams and marketing & design operations. She works closely with the CEO, as well as the Science Park’s executive team, board of directors and shareholders. Anne is also responsible for managing the internal systems and processes.

Richard provides day-to-day operational support across Exeter Science Park, helping to ensure the estate, meeting spaces and client-facing facilities run smoothly and efficiently. As Operations Support, he is a key point of contact for facilities queries, meeting room technology, IT equipment and event set-up, working closely with colleagues, tenants and service providers.

 He also supports the delivery of events and client services, assists with building presentation and operational checks, and helps maintain the high standards expected across the park. Richard’s practical approach, attention to detail and commitment to customer service contribute to a positive experience for visitors, tenants and colleagues alike.

As part of her apprenticeship, Jessica is developing her skills across all aspects of front of house operations, from serving customers and preparing food and drinks to assisting with catering and event setup. Her enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and positive approach make her a valued member of the team while she continues to build her experience in hospitality.
