Exeter Science Park has appointed Harvey Gardner as Head of Property to develop and maintain its estate and property.

This includes expanding to develop 200,000 square feet of laboratory, office and community space at junction 29 of the M5 by 2026 to support economic growth, enhanced productivity and high-value jobs.

A Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and with his most recent role at Devon and Cornwall Police, Harvey brings over two decades’ public and private property experience to Exeter Science Park.

Dr Sally Basker, CEO of Exeter Science Park, said: “Exeter Science Park helps innovative science-based companies to deliver extraordinary growth. We needed to strengthen our property capability to support our clients’ ambitious growth plans. Harvey was the ideal candidate, with a wealth of experience including leading multi-million-pound developments and managing a diverse property portfolio, as well as a proven ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.”

Harvey Gardner said: “I’m excited to be leading and tailoring our property offer to meet the demands of high-tech businesses and encourage national and international relocations. I’m looking forward to developing a world-class centre of excellence that strengthens the knowledge economy in the south-west.”
