Exeter Science Park met with the region’s businesses at the 2018 South West Business Expo, discussing how we support innovative STEMM (science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine) companies to achieve extraordinary growth.
Led by our CEO, Dr Sally Basker, the Science Park team explained the vision for the future of the site, building a centre of excellence for STEMM businesses in the South West to deliver higher productivity and economic growth.
Dr. Basker explained: “Whilst Exeter Science Park is mainly focussed on STEMM business, all South West businesses can enjoy the benefits of the Park by using our Café and meeting facilities at Junction 29 of the M5. We want to let businesses in the region know that our Café is open to the public and great for informal meetings. We also have event space for hire suitable for up to 40 people in theatre style or 24 people in boardroom style.
“We had a great time at the South West Business Expo and many of the people we spoke to were excited to learn how they can use one of the South West’s premier locations to support their businesses”.
Now in its sixth year, the largest business expo in the South West brings together over 250 organisations and 3,000 delegates, offering the chance to network, gain business advice and hear from expert speakers.
Organised by thebestof Exeter, the South West Business Expo is an eclectic mix of speaker events, live demonstrations, relationship building sessions and opportunities to build a business network. Find out more here.
