Theta Technologies Limited is a world leader in a unique & cost-effective non-destructive testing technology designed to cope with the complex nature of additive-manufactured metal parts. Based in Exeter, Theta Technologies have developed the world’s first commercial nonlinear resonance NDT product that offers manufacturers a more cost-effective, rapid non-destructive testing solution than other NDT techniques.

About the role

This is a full-time on-site Application Engineer role located in Exeter, UK. The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, software development, electrical and mechanical engineering, and testing. Day-to-day tasks include working with customers to understand their testing requirements, interpreting technical data, creating reports, participating in projects with cross-functional teams, conducting quality assurance testing, and identifying areas for continued improvement in product development.


  • Technical Support and Testing Skills
  • Experience in software
  • Development and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (Beneficial)
  • Ability to interpret technical data and create reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience working with customers in a technical support roles
  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in NDT or additive manufacturing is a plus
  • Travel will be required (UK/Overseas) to demo product at client sites/exhibitions
  • Full driving licence
  • Authorisation to work in the UK.
