Exeter Science Park is planning for the future, with a new face at the helm and changes across the team.
Lindsay Lucas was appointed as Chief Executive in May 2026. She brings more than 18 years’ experience in the tech industry and will lead the organisation into the next stage of its development.
There have also been promotions across the team, with staff stepping into new roles from autumn 2026.
Rob Owen, who joined the organisation in October 2025, has been appointed Head of Operations. Rob said: “Having had the opportunity to work closely with the buildings, businesses and people that make up the Park, I am pleased to be taking this next step within the company.
“The role brings together responsibility for operational delivery, estate, facilities, compliance, projects, suppliers, IT oversight and client services, with a focus on supporting our occupiers and future growth.”
David Morgan, who is the organisation’s longest serving staff member, has been promoted to Client Services Manager. He said: “From my first day in 2017, I knew this was a special place and one where I wanted to make a lasting impact. Being able to work alongside inspiring people in such a beautiful setting makes coming to work each day a genuine pleasure. I’m excited for what comes next.”
Richard Northcott has been promoted to Operations Support, providing day-to-day operational support across the organisation. He said: “I love the variety this role brings – no two days are the same. Whether it’s supporting an event, solving a technical problem or just making sure the Park looks its best, I find real satisfaction in getting the details right.”
Lindsay said: “These promotions reflect the talent and commitment we have across the team, and I’m delighted to recognise the contribution each of them makes to life at the Park. Rob, David and Richard each bring something distinctive to their roles, and together they will play an important part in delivering the next stage of our development. This is an exciting time for Exeter Science Park and I’m proud to be leading the organisation into it.”
The last decade has seen the Science Park grow fivefold, developing into a thriving community of 47 businesses employing around 800 people. Its café is open to the public, and the recent arrival of The Engine – the Park’s new gym – alongside the net zero voco Zeal Hotel, has made it an increasingly welcome destination.
As well as internal promotions, it has been a busy time for businesses based at the Park. Merac recently moved to a larger office and this summer, new tenant NauteXe Global revealed plans for its £150 million extreme environment facility – a nationally significant project. New tenants Aaardvark EM and Modern Networks have been welcomed, and more companies are joining later this year.
